Overview
Application Workflow turns aligned planning answers into a flow map and detailed workflow nodes. It is the bridge between research decisions and feature planning.
Internal apps focus on roles, systems, approvals, reporting, and operating steps. Customer apps focus on the customer journey and the product actions that deliver value.
Open Application Workflow
Open your project and select Application Workflow from the project navigation or next action card. Complete Workflow Alignment first if AlphaTales asks for more context.
The page may take a moment to prepare the flow map. Wait for active generation or loading states to finish before reviewing.
Review The Flow Map
Read the flow map from start to finish. Check that the major actors, triggers, actions, decisions, and outcomes match the project.
For internal apps, look for missing approvals, handoffs, data updates, exceptions, permission checks, or reporting steps.
For customer apps, look for missing onboarding, activation, purchase, collaboration, support, or completion steps.
Generate Workflow Detail
When the flow map looks right, generate the detailed workflow nodes. These nodes expand the approved flows into practical steps that can guide feature planning.
Review the generated detail for missing steps, confusing order, duplicate flows, or scope that belongs in a later version.
Confirm The Workflow
Confirm the workflow only when the map and detailed nodes match the first version you want to plan. Confirmation lets AlphaTales use the workflow as context for feature generation and technical planning.
If confirmation is disabled, check whether required content is missing or a generation action is still running.
Recover From Problems
If the page is empty, return to Workflow Alignment and confirm that step is complete. If the workflow fails to generate, retry from the page after checking that the project context is clear.
If you do not have permission to confirm the workflow, ask an owner, admin, or project lead to review it.
Next Steps
After confirming Application Workflow, continue to Features. Features turn the workflow into buildable scope.
