Bring reviewed requirements into Claude Code.
Claude Code can explore a codebase, plan a change, and implement it. That work is easier to review when the business behaviour has already been defined. AlphaTales prepares the workflows, requirements, and architecture context that explain what the change needs to achieve.
Settle the business decisions before the implementation plan
Claude Code's planning workflow can help investigate the code and choose an implementation approach. Your team still needs to decide the product behaviour: which users can act, which rules apply, and what happens when an action fails. An implementation plan cannot settle those choices without the people who own them.
In AlphaTales, your team reviews the foundation and workflow scope, then develops the selected features into specifications. Bring those requirements and acceptance checks to Claude Code so its code investigation starts from an agreed task. Anthropic's own guidance recommends exploring and planning before implementing larger or uncertain changes.

Claude Code
Request project context
Build MCPAfter you connect and select a project, Claude Code can request its available implementation context. Use the feature requirements alongside the repository and its CLAUDE.md instructions.
Claude Code connection guideKeep the requirements available during the build
A Dev Pack export gives Claude Code selected planning files to read locally. This suits a deliberate handoff where the developer wants to inspect the requirements alongside the repository. Regenerate the export if the approved scope or behaviour changes.
Build MCP provides another route. Claude Code supports remote MCP connections, allowing it to request AlphaTales project and feature context after authentication and project selection. Feature details include the implementation scope, functional requirements, and acceptance checks. Ask for the relevant details before starting the change rather than relying on a feature title.
Understand what MCP and plugins each provide
MCP exposes the AlphaTales tools that Claude Code can call. A plugin packages components such as skills and MCP configuration. They are related, but connecting a server and installing a plugin are not the same action.
AlphaTales has an Agent package that groups Plan MCP, Build MCP, and planning workflow skills. Client packaging requirements differ, so do not assume a package built for one client is installed in Claude Code. The documented direct MCP connection provides the build-context route. Use the current Claude Code instructions for the connection method and authentication.
Give each source of instructions a clear job
CLAUDE.md can carry repository conventions and commands. The AlphaTales feature should describe the intended behaviour. Ask Claude Code to compare them with the existing code and raise conflicts before editing. This keeps the business requirement separate from the mechanics of implementing it.
Once the change is ready, review it against the acceptance checks and the workflow around the feature. A successful test command is useful evidence, but it may not cover a business exception that no test represents yet. Ask which behaviours were verified and which remain untested.
Use the combination when context crosses team boundaries
AlphaTales and Claude Code fit together when one group understands the process and another implements it. The reviewed plan carries the decisions into the coding session without requiring the developer to reconstruct them from conversations.
For a small correction whose behaviour is already clear, the repository and issue may be enough. For a new internal application or a change involving several roles and rules, preparing the requirements first gives the implementation review a much stronger basis.
