Profile Settings
Update your personal information, contact details, and profile photo in AlphaTales

Overview
Your profile in AlphaTales stores your personal information and is visible to team members within shared projects. Keeping your profile up to date ensures that colleagues can easily identify you and that notifications reach the right contact details.
Accessing Profile Settings
- Click on your avatar or name in the sidebar to open the user menu.
- Select Settings.
- The Profile tab is selected by default.
You will see a page titled "Settings" with the description "Manage your account settings and preferences." The page contains three tabs: Profile, Account & Security, and Notifications.
Editing Personal Information
Under the Personal Information card you can update the following fields:

After making changes, click Save Changes. The button only becomes active when you have unsaved edits.
Tip: If you need to change your email address, contact support from the Contact Support page under Settings.
Uploading a Profile Photo
- In the Personal Information card, click the Upload new photo button next to your avatar.
- Select an image file from your device (JPG, GIF, or PNG).
- The photo uploads and saves automatically.
Your profile photo must be under 5 MB in size.
Removing a Profile Photo
If you already have a profile photo, a Remove image link appears below your avatar. Click it to delete your current photo and revert to your initials.
Country Code for Phone Number
When entering a phone number, use the country code dropdown to select the correct dialing code. You can search for a country by name or code within the dropdown.
What Happens When You Save
After clicking Save Changes, your updated name and details are reflected immediately across AlphaTales, including in team member lists and project collaborator views. A confirmation message appears to let you know the update was successful.
Tip: The Save Changes button stays disabled until you actually modify a field. This prevents accidental empty saves.
