AlphaTales stores the following categories of data associated with your account:

  • Profile information -- Your name, email address, job title, phone number, and profile photo.
  • Project data -- Projects you create or collaborate on, including features, tasks, documents, and AI-generated content.
  • Subscription and billing data -- Your plan type, billing history, and payment method (payment details are securely managed by our payment processor).
  • Usage data -- AI credit consumption, login activity, and general platform usage metrics.
  • Preferences -- Notification settings, email preferences, and display options.

Your Data Rights

Under data protection regulations such as GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right to access -- You can view your stored data through your profile and settings pages.
  • Right to rectification -- You can update your personal information at any time from the Profile settings page.
  • Right to deletion -- You can request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Right to data portability -- You can export your project data in supported formats before deleting your account.

Requesting Data Deletion

If you want to request deletion of specific data without deleting your entire account, contact the AlphaTales support team through the Contact Support page. Include details about what data you want removed, and the team will process your request.

Deleting Your Account

To permanently delete your AlphaTales account:

  1. Go to Settings and select the Account & Security tab.
  2. Scroll down to the Delete Account section (highlighted in red).
  3. Click Delete Personal Account.
  4. A confirmation dialog appears explaining what will happen.
  5. Click Yes, Delete My Account to proceed.

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure to export any data you want to keep before proceeding.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following are permanently removed:

  • Your profile and all personal data
  • Any active subscriptions (automatically cancelled)
  • Access to all projects (including those shared with you)
  • AI usage history and credits
  • Email preferences and notification settings

After deletion, you are signed out and redirected to the sign-in page. You will not be able to recover your account or data.

Before You Delete

Before deleting your account, consider:

  1. Export important data -- Download any project artifacts, documents, or reports you want to keep.
  2. Check shared projects -- If you are a project owner, other team members may lose access to those projects.
  3. Review active subscriptions -- Your subscription will be cancelled automatically, but no refund is issued for remaining time.

Tip: If you are experiencing issues with the platform and considering deletion, contact support first. Many problems can be resolved without deleting your account.
