Email Preferences
Control which email notifications you receive from AlphaTales

Overview
AlphaTales sends email notifications to keep you informed about project activity, platform updates, and important alerts. You can customize which emails you receive from the Notifications tab in your settings. Changes take effect immediately.
Accessing Email Preferences
- Click on your avatar or name in the sidebar to open the user menu.
- Select Settings.
- Click the Notifications tab.
You will see a card titled "Email Notifications" with the description "Manage how you receive updates and alerts via email."
Notification Types
AlphaTales offers five categories of email notifications. Each can be toggled independently using the switch next to it.
Project Updates
Receive emails about updates to your projects. This includes changes to features, tasks, and other project-level activity.
Project Alerts
Get notified about critical project events and errors. These are higher-priority notifications that flag issues requiring your attention.
Weekly Digest
A weekly summary of your account activity. This is useful for staying informed without receiving individual notifications for every event.
Marketing Emails
Receive news, product updates, and promotional content from AlphaTales. Toggle this off if you prefer to only receive operational notifications.
SMS Alerts
Receive critical alerts via SMS to your phone number. This option requires a phone number to be set in your profile settings.
Tip: If you want to receive SMS alerts, make sure you have added a phone number with the correct country code in your Profile settings.
Toggling Notifications
To change a notification preference:
- Find the notification type you want to adjust.
- Click the toggle switch to turn it on or off.
- A confirmation message appears to confirm the change was saved.
Changes are saved immediately -- there is no separate save button for notification preferences.
Tip: If you are receiving too many emails, consider turning off Project Updates and relying on the Weekly Digest instead. This gives you a consolidated summary without per-event notifications.
