Feature Groups

Overview

Feature Groups organize related capabilities before they become individual features. They help keep planning focused by turning the confirmed Application Workflow into clear groups of feature titles.

Complete The Prerequisite

Feature Groups work best after Application Workflow is confirmed. If AlphaTales asks you to finish that step first, open Application Workflow and complete the confirmation.

If you already have saved groups, you can continue reviewing them. If the prerequisite check cannot load, refresh the page before generating new groups.

Create Feature Groups

Open Feature Groups from the project navigation when it is available. If no groups exist, you can generate groups from the current project context or add a group manually.

Use generated groups when you want AlphaTales to suggest a starting structure. Use manual groups when you already know the product areas you want to plan.

Review And Select Groups

Review each group name and description before continuing. Keep group names short and clear because each group can produce several feature titles later.

Select the groups you want to use for feature planning. Remove duplicates, rename unclear groups, and add missing groups before moving forward. The selected groups become the structure for grouped feature-title generation.

Handle Loading And Errors

If generation is running, wait for the progress state to finish. Avoid starting another generation while one is already active.

If generation fails, retry once. If retry still fails, add the most important groups manually so planning can continue.

If the page is empty after a successful generation, refresh the page and check again. If access is blocked, ask a project owner or admin to confirm your role.

After selecting feature groups, continue to Features. AlphaTales can generate several feature titles inside each selected group, then turn the selected titles into full feature details.
