Acceptable Use Policy

Rules for lawful, safe, and fair use of AlphaTales, including AI-assisted planning, generated output, workspaces, and platform access.

1. Scope and responsibility

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to your use of AlphaTales, including accounts, workspaces, project descriptions, prompts, uploaded material, generated output, exports, integrations, and support channels.

You are responsible for your use of AlphaTales, the content you submit, the people you invite into a workspace, and how you review, share, publish, or act on AI-assisted output.

2. Lawful use

You must use AlphaTales only for lawful purposes and in line with our Terms of Service.

  • Do not use AlphaTales to plan, facilitate, conceal, or promote unlawful conduct.
  • Do not create, request, upload, store, or share content that is illegal in Australia or your location.
  • Do not use AlphaTales to evade sanctions, export controls, court orders, regulatory requirements, or law enforcement processes.
  • Do not use AlphaTales to sell, promote, or facilitate illegal goods, illegal services, or restricted goods without lawful authority.

3. Harmful content and abuse

  • Do not threaten, harass, bully, intimidate, exploit, defame, dox, or target people or groups.
  • Do not create, request, or distribute content that encourages self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or dangerous challenges.
  • Do not create, request, or distribute content that promotes terrorism, violent extremism, serious violence, or graphic abuse.
  • Do not use AlphaTales for hate, abuse, or discriminatory conduct directed at a protected or vulnerable group.
  • Do not create or distribute non-consensual intimate material, sexual deepfakes, image-based abuse, or sexually exploitative content.
  • Do not use AlphaTales to create instructions for weapons, explosives, evading safety controls, or causing physical harm.

4. Children and teen safety

AlphaTales is not directed to children under 13. Users under the age of majority must have permission from a parent or guardian.

  • Do not upload personal information about a minor unless you have lawful authority.
  • Do not create, request, or distribute sexual, exploitative, grooming, abusive, or age-inappropriate content involving minors.
  • Do not use AlphaTales to encourage minors to self-harm, bully others, take dangerous actions, or hide unsafe conduct from guardians.
  • Do not use AlphaTales to contact, profile, manipulate, or target minors unlawfully.

5. Privacy, confidentiality, and intellectual property

  • Do not upload, generate, or share content that infringes copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, moral rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or contractual rights.
  • Do not submit confidential information, personal information, or sensitive information unless you have authority to use it in AlphaTales.
  • Do not submit secrets, API keys, passwords, private keys, payment card data, or government identifiers unless a feature expressly supports that data.
  • Do not collect, infer, expose, sell, or misuse another person's personal information without lawful authority.
  • Do not use AlphaTales to identify, re-identify, profile, score, or make decisions about people in a way that breaches privacy, anti-discrimination, employment, credit, consumer, or similar laws.

6. AI output and high-risk use

AlphaTales output is a drafting and planning aid. You must review, test, adapt, and validate output before using it in a product, customer workflow, public document, technical build, investment decision, or commercial commitment.

  • Do not present AI output as human-authored, verified, legally approved, production-ready, or guaranteed accurate when it has not been properly reviewed.
  • Do not use AlphaTales as a substitute for qualified legal, medical, financial, tax, employment, security, safety, or compliance advice.
  • Do not use AlphaTales to make automated decisions about people without lawful authority, appropriate notices, human review, and a way to challenge or correct the decision where required.
  • Do not use AlphaTales to generate code, instructions, or plans that you know or should reasonably know would be unsafe, unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful if implemented.

7. Security and platform integrity

  • Do not probe, scan, test, overload, disrupt, or attack AlphaTales systems without our written permission.
  • Do not bypass authentication, authorization, access controls, rate limits, usage limits, billing controls, safety controls, or technical restrictions.
  • Do not introduce malware, spyware, ransomware, credential theft, phishing kits, botnets, worms, destructive code, or harmful automation.
  • Do not attempt to access accounts, workspaces, projects, logs, source code, model behavior, prompts, or data that you are not authorized to access.
  • Do not use AlphaTales to develop or improve malicious code, exploit chains, vulnerability abuse, credential stuffing, evasion techniques, or unauthorized surveillance.

8. Spam, deception, and impersonation

  • Do not use AlphaTales for scams, fraud, phishing, impersonation, fake endorsements, misleading claims, or deceptive product representations.
  • Do not misrepresent who you are, who you work for, what authority you have, or whether content was generated or assisted by AI where disclosure is required.
  • Do not use AlphaTales to create spam, unsolicited commercial messages, lead scraping, mass outreach, or marketing that breaches consent, sender-identification, unsubscribe, or platform rules.
  • Do not create fake reviews, fake testimonials, fake engagement, astroturfing, coordinated inauthentic activity, or misleading social proof.

9. Fair access and resource use

  • Do not resell, lease, sublicense, white-label, or make AlphaTales available as a competing service without written permission.
  • Do not share individual login credentials or use one account for multiple people where separate seats are required.
  • Do not scrape, crawl, bulk export, or automate access outside approved product features and documented integrations.
  • Do not use AlphaTales in a way that creates excessive load, degrades reliability, avoids usage limits, or interferes with other users.
  • Do not use credits, trials, promotions, or accounts to avoid payment, abuse quotas, or obtain more access than intended.

10. Regulated and sensitive use cases

Some product ideas, industries, and data types require extra care. You are responsible for meeting the laws, licences, approvals, notices, records, and human-review requirements that apply to your use case.

  • Do not use AlphaTales to bypass rules for financial services, lending, insurance, health, employment, housing, education, legal services, gambling, age-restricted goods, weapons, or controlled substances.
  • Do not use AlphaTales to create compliance claims, security claims, investment claims, medical claims, or legal conclusions without qualified review.
  • Do not use AlphaTales for safety-critical systems, emergency services, critical infrastructure, or high-risk automated decisions without appropriate professional controls.

11. Reporting misuse

Report suspected abuse, security issues, unlawful content, child safety concerns, privacy misuse, or intellectual property concerns to hello@alphatales.io.

If a matter involves immediate danger, child exploitation, violent threats, or serious criminal activity, contact the appropriate emergency, law enforcement, or regulatory authority first.

12. Review and enforcement

We may review suspected violations using account information, workspace context, usage signals, support reports, automated checks, and human review where appropriate. We aim to take proportionate action based on the nature, severity, frequency, and risk of the issue.

  • We may warn you, ask you to remove content, limit features, remove content, rate limit activity, or restrict workspace access.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for serious, repeated, unlawful, harmful, security-sensitive, or unpaid use.
  • We may preserve, disclose, or report information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect people, AlphaTales, our users, or third-party rights.
  • We may remove content or restrict access quickly where urgent legal, safety, security, platform integrity, or child-safety concerns exist.
