Project Invite And Team Access
Invite people to a project and recover from access issues
What you'll learn
- Invite people to a project
- Understand project and team access states
- Recover from expired links, permission limits, and blocked access
Overview
Project invites help bring teammates or stakeholders into the right project. Use them when someone needs to view, review, or contribute to project planning.
Open Project Invite
Open the project and select the invite option from the project actions or navigation. Enter the requested recipient details.
Only invite people who should have access to the project information. If role options are available, choose the smallest access level that lets the person do their work.
Send The Invite
Review the invite details before sending. After sending, the invited person uses the latest invite link to join or register.
If the invite is still sending, wait for the page to finish before closing it. If sending fails, review the message and try again.
Recover From Link Issues
If an invite link is expired, invalid, or already used, send a new invite. Ask the recipient to use the newest email or link.
If the recipient cannot join, confirm that the email address is correct and that the project or team has available access. If the team has a seat or plan limit, resolve that before sending another invite.
Fix Access Problems
If you cannot invite people, your role may not allow project access changes. Ask an owner or admin to send the invite or update your role.
If someone can open AlphaTales but not the project, check both their team role and their project access. A person may belong to the team but still not have access to every project.
Next Steps
After inviting someone, use Team Management or the project team section to confirm that their access is correct. If the invite was for review only, remind them which project area needs their attention.
