Account Setup - Individual

Overview

An individual account is the fastest way to start using AlphaTales. It is ideal for solo builders, freelancers, or anyone who wants to explore the platform before inviting a team. You can always upgrade to a team workspace later without losing your projects.

Step 1: Choose Individual Account

1. Navigate to the AlphaTales sign-up page.
2. You will see a toggle at the top of the form with two options: Individual and Team.
3. Select Individual. A note beneath the toggle confirms that you can add teammates later if needed.

Step 2: Fill In Your Details

Enter the following information in the sign-up form:

• First name -- Your given name.
• Last name -- Your family name.
• Email address -- The email you want to use for your account. This will also be used for verification and login.

Tip: Use a personal email you check regularly. Verification codes and account notifications will be sent here.

Step 3: Choose a Sign-Up Method

You have two options to create your account:

Option A: Email Sign-Up

Click the Send verification code button. AlphaTales will email a 6-digit code to the address you provided.

Option B: Social Sign-Up

Below the email form, you can sign up using one of the social login options:

• Google -- Uses your existing Google account.
• Microsoft -- Uses your existing Microsoft account.

When you choose a social account, your name and email are pulled from that account automatically. If your email is already verified, you can skip the manual code step.

Step 4: Verify Your Email

If you signed up with email, check your inbox for a message from AlphaTales containing a 6-digit verification code.

1. Open the verification page that appears after you click Send verification code.
2. Enter the 6-digit code from your email.
3. Click Verify to confirm your account.

Warning: The verification code expires after a limited time. If it expires, you can request a new one from the verification page.

Step 5: Choose Your Plan

After verification, you will be prompted to choose a subscription plan. AlphaTales offers a free tier so you can start immediately at no cost. You can upgrade at any time from the Subscriptions page in your account settings.

The sidebar displays your current plan and AI credit usage, so you always know where you stand.

Step 6: Your First Login

Once your account is verified, you are taken to the Projects page -- your main dashboard. From here you can:

• Create your first project.
• Explore the sidebar navigation.
• Access User Guides directly from the left menu.

Tip: If you decide later that you need a team workspace, you can switch to a team account from your account settings without creating a new account.
